OUR MISSION
ATTENTION: The Scribe Society of Elyria is looking for Scribes in all servers/kingdoms to join us in becoming the most well know Guild/School in all of Elyria. We are in need of ambitions Scribes who would consider running their own chapter of TSSoE in their kingdom/server.
We are also looking to partner with any Papermaking or Mercenary Guilds. We will be in need of steady paper supplies for our Scribes to hone their skills with and also each chapter will need access to guards via a Mercenary Guild. In return, we can offer a steady income and will be able to provide your guilds with any Scribe services at a reduced cost. If any Guilds are interested in such a symbiotic partnership please visit our Discord, Forum page or send us an email.
Are you sick of traveling for days at a time trying to find a Scribe to draft you a deed or contract? Are you a Scribe who can't seem to find a reliable source of paper to train your skills and make a little coin? Or a Papermaker who's tired of selling a scroll at a time to the odd Scribe or Merchant they encounter? Well, you aren't alone!
The main focus of TSSoE is to provide free materials for our members to train and improve their skills and to connect apprentices with experts. In doing so we also provide a lucrative business opportunity for Papermakers as each chapter will gladly buy anything they bring to us, so load up your carts!
The TSSoE retains all rights to any documents produced using our crafting stations or supplies. In other words, anything you craft stays behind, but you're more than welcome to craft with your own mats outside of TSSoE, we know you still have to make a living but remember, we are also a non-profit organization only interested in providing you the tools you need to become the best.
We want to establish ourselves as a central hub in each kingdom (and eventually duchy and county) where Merchants, Mercenaries, Farmers and Nobles can acquire the contracts or deeds they need without having to go from tavern to tavern searching for a Scribe. All money earned through selling these items will first go to replenishing materials for crafting then purchasing crafting stations (if needed), paying Guards (if needed) and a % of all sales (we'll call this "dues") will be put into a slush for buying property and building Libraries in other kingdoms. Anything left over will be distributed amongst members with the higher skilled Scribes getting a larger cut than the less experienced ones as an incentive for all of our members to strive to be the greatest in their chapter and maybe even all of Elyria.
Each TSSoE chapter Director is responsible for his/her own chapter's expenses (supplies, guards, member surplus) with dues being paid to the main chapter.
Below is a downloadable file that expands on our vision and focuses on our partnerships with |The Scribes Academy of Midgard. We recommend all new or potential members download it so they have a better understanding of our goals and to answer any questions you may have regarding Guild/Academy expectations.
